Saturday

Had a sorta surprise visit from our old next door neighbor Nichole, who told us she would be down this weekend. We planned on going to the beach tomorrow with them before we go to Grandma's Birthday party. I also refilled the bird feeder, put washer fluid in the car, cleaned up the mysterious broken glass on the driveway, got the van an oil change in preparation of our upcoming Disney trip. I also got a new memory card for my waterproof camera so I would be ready for Blizzard Beach. I also programed the GPS and did some coordination with Jimmy. We also got the kids new TV in the playroom hooked up. Went to the country club for a dip with Rox and the kids and Holly got a booboo on her face after she inadvertently ran into the side of the pool while swimming (she'll be OK). I added another old movie clip to Youtube from our 1979 California Vacation. I got back another movie from Costco yesterday but it curiously didn't play on my DVD player for the first time? Plus it appeared to be panned and scanned as some of the footage people's head were cut off? Strange? I'll have to look into it as I have another one coming in soon. Plus I starting to feel like I am getting sick! Great just what I need before my vacation.

Happy Fathers Day

I was only my way to Publix in the morning when I spotted this:


So I turned around drove home and grabbed my camera and the kids and was able to find it again down the street in our neighborhood. I got some more birdseed at Publix but I don't think that's his preference. It said it was for Red Birds meaning cardinals and sure enough after I refilled the feeder and Red Cardinal showed up!

After breakfast we went to Pei Wei for lunch with Willy and Alicia as they had never been. They gave me a pair of swimming shorts for Fathers Day. Rox gave her dad some place mats she made at Walgreen's with the kids picture on them. He really seemed to like them.

Later on me and the kids went to the Country Club but Papa was no where to be found, but we left him his gift and went in the pool. I used the new swim trunks.



Even Cookie had to get in on the act.


I was able to get my Dad's camera and find and post the pictures of their new floor at the cabin.

We all went to Costco over Holly's usual objections. We also got the front entrance cleaned up. And they finished paving our street and driveway with asphalt. It was also the kids last day of Summer camp!
